Convenience is not the same as testing.
Mobile remapping can be convenient for simple jobs, but workshop and dyno tuning gives more room for diagnostics, controlled testing and problem solving when the vehicle is not straightforward.
Buyer Advice
When a workshop approach matters.
If a car is modified, high mileage, already mapped, showing warning lights or used for towing or hard driving, the extra checking can matter more than convenience. A dyno can show how the vehicle behaves under load, while workshop tools can help diagnose faults before tuning makes them worse.
The point is not that every mobile tuner is bad. The point is that the customer should know what testing is included and what happens if the car is not healthy enough to map safely.
