If you believe there is an issue after tuning, bring the vehicle back so we can take an initial look.
Aftercare
Our guarantee after tuning.
If there is an issue after tuning, we want the vehicle back with us so we can assess it properly. No appointment is needed for the initial assessment.
Tuning aftercare should be clear before a customer books. If your car does not feel right after tuning, if a warning light appears, or if you believe something has gone wrong, bring the vehicle back to Llandow Tuning and let us inspect it.
We will give you a complete breakdown of what we find. If there is a software fix that can be applied, and the issue relates to the calibration we supplied, we will apply it. If the issue is with the vehicle itself, we will explain what is wrong and give you a detailed report on how to move forward.
This policy is deliberately straightforward. We support the work we carry out, while also separating calibration-related concerns from unrelated mechanical faults, existing wear, previous work, servicing issues, weak clutches, boost leaks, injector problems, DPF faults, EGR issues, turbo faults or electrical problems.
What We Will Do
We will assess, explain and correct software issues.
If the vehicle returns after tuning, we will carry out an initial assessment and explain what we can see. That may include checking fault codes, listening to the customer description, looking at live data, reviewing symptoms and deciding whether the issue is likely to be software-related or vehicle-related.
If a software correction is the right answer, we will deal with it. If the issue points to a mechanical, electrical or maintenance problem, we will give you a clear route forward rather than leaving you guessing.
If the calibration needs a correction, and it relates to our work, we will apply the software fix.
If the car has an underlying issue, we will explain what we have found and what the next step should be.
What This Does Not Mean
Aftercare should be clear, fair and limited to what the workshop actually controls.
If an issue is calibration-related, it should be assessed and corrected. If the evidence points to an underlying engine, turbo, clutch, fuel, emissions or electrical fault, that repair needs to be diagnosed and quoted separately.
The initial assessment is designed to establish the likely direction. If the vehicle needs deeper diagnostic work, stripping, parts, extended testing or specialist repair time, that work will be explained before it continues.
The practical aim is to avoid confusion. Calibration concerns, vehicle faults and deeper diagnostic work should be separated clearly so the customer understands what is covered and what needs a separate repair route. For deeper fault finding, read about our diagnostics approach.
Independent Engineer
If there is a serious dispute, we will use independent inspection.
If you believe we have done something wrong and there is a genuine dispute, we are happy for an independent engineer to examine the vehicle and provide their findings.
If the independent engineer agrees that Llandow Tuning is at fault, we will put the issue right. If the independent engineer concludes that the problem is an underlying vehicle fault, wear-related issue, previous work, maintenance problem or another matter not caused by our tuning, you agree to cover the independent engineer's cost.
This gives both sides a fair route forward. It avoids guesswork, avoids social-media arguments and puts the decision in the hands of someone independent.
Why This Matters
Aftercare is part of a credible tuning process.
Many tuning complaints become worse because the customer is left with no clear route after the job. Our position is different: if there is a concern, bring the car back. We will assess it, explain what we find and apply a software fix where that is the correct answer.
Not every post-tuning problem is software, and not every old mechanical fault is related to the calibration. A fair aftercare process should identify the difference and explain the next step.
For refund expectations, read our money back guarantee policy. It explains why we do not offer a blanket money back promise, when we do not bill, and when tweaks are included.
